PROGRAMME APPROVAL STATUS AS THE SERVICES SECTOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING AUTHORITY (SSETA) PROVIDER

The Services Sector Education and Training Authority (SSETA) is one of the 21 SETAs re-licensed by the Minister of Higher Education and Training in 2010, for a period 2011 to 2016. The Services SETA is responsible for skills development in the services sector

It is our pleasure to inform you that the ETQA review  committee has approved the learning programme/s of Institute for Quality (meadowlands School of Technology)  for the qualification and/or unit standards listed in the Statement of Qualification and unit standard attached herewith.

The Services Sector Education and Training Authority (SSETA) was established and registered in March 2000 in terms of the skills development Act of 1998 and is responsible for the disbursement of the training levies payable by all employers. These levies are collected by the South African Revenue Service (SARS) via the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), and are to be disbursed through a management system motivated by skills requirement assessment and monitoring.
